First Amazon Review of Machina Mortis – Steampunk’d Tales of Terror

Here’s a really nice review of a Steampunk Horror collection I recently edited!

Machina

The first review of Sam Gafford’s anthology, Machina Mortis – Steampunk’d Tales of Terror (Wherein my short story: “The Black Banshee” appears”) is up over at Amazon and it is a strong one.

The reviewer mentions that, “Gafford’s anthology is an excellent introduction to the steampunk subgenre” and “This is classic horror! … The tales captured the details and richness of a bygone era. They were eerie without being gore/ splatter violent.”

Check out the review and purchase the book in print or ebook format HERE.

About Sam Gafford
My name is Sam Gafford and I've been doing critical work on William Hope Hodgson for many years. I wrote the article "Writing Backwards: The Novels of William Hope Hodgson" in which I presented evidence that WHH wrote his novels in the reverse order in which they were published. I've recently written an article on Hodgson's confrontation with Houdini and am currently working on a book length study of WHH.
